Detailed tour plan for our 7 days birding safari adventure in Uganda
Day 1: Pickup from Entebbe international Airport and head to the Botanical gardens for Birding
Our experienced safari guide will pick you from the Entebbe international airport in our reliable car rental Uganda with a lot of convenience and not compromising with comfort. Transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe.
Have lunch while at the safari lodge in Entebbe and later after the lunch session, head to the Entebbe botanical gardens for the interesting start of your birding safari adventure in Uganda. While here, you will see birds such as; great blue and ross turacos, red chested, klaass and diederik cuckoo, great reed, grey capped, sedge, greater swamp and Eurasian reed warblers, fain tailed window bird, striped, malachite, giant, woodland and pygmy kingfishers, black bishop, grey woodpecker, olive bellied, red chested and so on.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park | bird route for white created turac
Day 2 of your birding safari adventure in Uganda starts with our experienced guide picking you up from your safari lodge in Entebbe and embarking on the journey to Murchison falls national park which is approximately 270 kilometers from Entebbe and approximately 5 hours
Have lunch while in Masindi and continue with the journey to Murchison falls. While in Murchison, go to the top of the falls for the pels fishing owl, rock pratincoles, bat hawk and a variety of night jars.
Overnight in Murchison falls national park in lodges such as; paraa safari lodge, nie safari lodge, chobe.
Day 3: Birding Experience in Murchison falls National Park.
Here you will see birds such as; puvels illadopsis, grey and yellow longball, fire crested alethe, narinatragon, dusky longtailed cuckoo, xaviers lctrine, plain and little greenbul, yellow billed and yellow spotted barbet, green, olive bellied and olive sunbird, crested guinea fowl.
Overnight in murchison falls national park: dinner and night sleep.
Day 4: Game drive birding at the Nile delta
a game drive in the murchison falls national park in our car with a pop up roof for optimal views in game drives. Spot the big five animals and other bird species such as white fronted black chat, African quil finch, fawn bat and breasted waxbill, northern carmine etc.
overnight, diner and an evening rest preparing for the next day of your safari adventure in uganda.
Day 5: Boat riding at the Nile delta.
Expect to see birds such as rare shoebill, African fish eagles, kingfisher, grey heron, woodpeckers, warblers, ducks, geese and much more. Also expect to see wildlife such as crocodiles, hippos, elephants and buffaloes
Day 6: Transfer to Masindi at the escarpment in Budongo Forest
You will be coming close to the end of your birding safari adventure and while in the budongo forest, there are a lot of bird species such as; black billed, spot flanked barbet, foxy cisticola, stripped kingfisher, red chested cuckoo, foxy cisticola, red winged grey warbler.
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala
Our safari guide will embark on the journey to drive you back to Kampala in our 4×4 cars for rent in Uganda
